چکیده

Abstract Detailed investigation of photocatalyzed degradation dibutyl phthalate (DBP), an endocrine disrupter, in the presence α -FeOOH (goethite) and different carboxylic acids is focus this study. To get a better insight into efficiency degradation, influence parameters, such as concentration total Fe Fe(II), dissolved oxygen, DBP concentration, pH salinity investigated. The reaction mechanism consists several interrelationship steps. first step chemical acid groups organic with hydroxyl charge transfer upon illumination generating Fe(II). second release Fe(II) solution followed by H 2 O oxidation to form highly photoactive complex iron(III) ˙OH. Simultaneously, superoxide radical ˙ − hydroperoxyl formed acidic solutions well. This explains genesis reactive species oxidizing DBP. From variety studied (oxalic, citric, salicylic, pyruvic, maleic, fumaric), oxalic best Fe-ligand for photoreductive dissolution goethite. Concentrations amount its dissociated forms well oxygen radicals play fundamental role degradation. photodegradation goethite use suitable under optimized conditions could be efficient process decontamination polluted waters.

Degradation and Adsorption Behavior of Dibutyl Phthalate in Methanogenic Phase Refuse

The degradation and adsorption behavior of dibutyl phthalate (DBP) in methanogenic phase refuse was investigated through laboratory microcosm experiments. The results showed that the half-life of DBP in the sterilized refuse was 5.9 times higher than in unsterilized samples, but that it decreased by 35.8% when dominant bacterial strains were added. Different concentrations of DBP did not have o...

Efficient Fenton like degradation of Methylene blue in aqueous solution by using Fe3O4 nanoparticles as catalyst

Fe3O4 nanoparticles were prepared hydrothermally and characterized by X-Ray diffraction spectroscopy (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). It was found that these nanoparticles can act as an efficient catalyst in the degradation of Methylene blue dye in aqueous solution in a Fenton like system in presence of 30% perhydrol. Uv-Vis spectroscopy was used to determine the concentration of ...

Influence of dibutyl phthalate on dermal sensitization to fluorescein isothiocyanate.

What limited evidence there is indicates that the formulation in which a chemical allergen is encountered on the skin can have a marked impact upon the induction of cutaneous immune responses and the subsequent development of contact sensitization. The purpose of the present investigations was to examine further this phenomenon by analysis of the influence of dibutyl phthalate (DBP) on dermal s...
